My name is Jenessa and I’m a fine art photographer.

From the time I was a child, I would hold on to broken things – broken dolls, broken toys, broken hair clips, and I often felt that they were even more beautiful because of their imperfections. I was a daydreamer, a storyteller, and I’ve carried all of these things into adulthood. As a young woman, I use these as tools in my photography, exploring the beauty in dark, ethereal worlds and the broken stories within them. The images are born of the bittersweet, even cruel fairytales that are born within the worlds of my mind – worlds I love and are precious to me.

Sometimes, we all feel like we’re falling off the face of the earth. Sometimes, we want to.
