It’s been almost two whole months since 2015 – boy, I’m off to a slow start. Time to pick up the pace! Time to start getting some new work out! I’ve got lots of big plans for this year and I’m really excited to share them with the world as they come.
Speaking of big things, I’ve got some great news! I recently signed a contract with and am now represented by Demurez Cover Arts! Demurez is a company that licences images out for book covers, cd covers, etc. They contacted me last year to see if I was interested in signing with them, and after a lot of deliberation on my part, I agreed! I’m super excited to be working with them.
I had my very first shoot of the year yesterday with the very lovely Emily, another creative here in Winnipeg, MB. I’ve worked with emily before, but it’s been a very long time – almost a year and a half. Last time, we had quite a bit of a mishap, but I’m very (read: very) happy to say that this time, we were totally mishap free. By the way, Emily is absolutely amazing. She’s a model, a writer, a musician, a photographer, and a beautiful soul. Go check her out!
Anyway, we spent the day taking photos with her and her beau, and then ran over to my place for a shoot we’ve been trying to shoot for the last three weeks (oops). I ended up being pretty glad we waited as long as we did. I was so hasty in putting together a shoot that I hadn’t really planned out as much as I could have, and since we had to cancel it twice, I ended up putting in the work, something I never regret. Check the photo out below the blog post! There’s a speed edit to go with it! I’m so incredibly happy and excited with what we created, and I’m so pumped to share it with you all!
How has your 2015 been going? I’d love to hear from you!
Wow, Jen. The video is fascinating.
Thanks Steven! I really love watching the magic of speed edits so I thought it would be fun to make one too 🙂 I was honestly surprised at the length! 2.5 hours in photoshop. That’s definitely more than average.
