Career has been something that’s been on my mind a lot lately.
People around me are talking about their own careers, making plans, making decisions. What should they do and how should they get there? And all of the things that they’re saying has me thinking about my own life and career. What do I want?
I’ve tried just being a photographer, and that wasn’t enough for me. Weddings stress me out, quite frankly, and I’m a little too much of an introvert to be a family photographer. So what do I do? What’s going to make me happy?
Nothing has ever made me happier than shooting fine art. Nothing has ever brought me out of my shell more than this one simple fact. I also really love working in photoshop.
So, I’ve been thinking that I have options, and here’s a step towards something:
I’m now offering some services. You can check those out by looking at my Investment page. I’m offering prints, commissions to make specific pieces of fine art for people, fine art portraiture, behind the scenes photography, and editing/post processing services. Things that I feel like I would be happy doing, and would do very well.
It’s a small step, certainly, but hopefully towards something more.
How has choosing a career for yourself influenced the decisions you’ve made for yourself? What have you learned about yourself in the process? Is something holding you back? I’d love to hear about your experiences with this.
